Deals I Found This Week: Price Chopper, Tops, Walgreen’s & Wal-Mart

I am normally a once-a-month grocery shopper. However, last week I came across the many coupons Kraft had posted on their website and on Coupons.com (as of May 19, 2009 many of these coupons are still listed). Most had a $1 value, meaning great savings. Combined with good sales, I was able to get quite a few good deals.

Wal-Mart on Tuesday May 19, 2009

On Coupons.com and KraftFoods.com, I was able to print two coupons for $1 off 1 box of Velveeta Shells and Cheese. On TryV8.com, I was able to print a coupon for $2 off one bottle of V-8 Fusion Passionfruit Tangerine or Goji Raspberry.

What I Bought:

2 Velveeta Shells and Cheese Boxes ($1.50 regular price with 2 $1 coupons)
PAID: .50 cents each

1 Bottle of V-8 Fusion Passionfruit Tangerine ($2.98 regular price with $2 coupon)
PAID: .98 cents

Walgreen’s on Tuesday May 19, 2009

On Coupons.com, I was able to print a coupon for $1 off a package of Oscar Myer Hot Dogs. Unfourtently this coupon isn’t available anymore. Walgreen’s had the same hot dogs on sale for Buy One Get One Free at $2.99.

There is a coupon in this week’s Walgreen’s flyer for 4 packages of Royal gelatin for $1.

What I Bought:

3 Packages of Royal Pudding for $1. This is Walgreen’s normal price, but still a great deal!

4 Packages of Royal Gelatin (.69 cents each regular price with 4 for a $1 Walgreen’s coupon)
PAID: .25 cents each

2 Packages of Oscar Myer Wieners ($2.99 each regular price, BOGOF from Walgreen’s & $1 coupon)
PAID: $1.99 for 2

Tops Markets on May 19, 2009

This is my local grocery store; it is in some parts of New York and Pennsylvania.

On the Coupons.com website, I printed coupons for $1 off 100 Calorie Snack Packs, $1 off 2 Cool Whip Tubs, $1 off Kraft Mayonnaise, $1 off Kraft Dressing, $1 off 2 Packages of Kraft Singles Cheese, and $1 off 1 Frosted Flakes Box.

At Tops this week, each of these items were on sale.

What I Bought:

2 boxes of 100 Calorie Snack Packs ($3.19 regular price, $2 sale price & $1 coupon)
PAID: $3 for 2 boxes (or $1.50 each)

1 box of Frosted Flakes ($3.89 regular price, $1.99 sale price & 1 coupon)
PAID: .99 cents

2 Cool Whip Tubs ($1.89 regular price, $1 sale price, and $1 coupon)
PAID: $1 for 2 (or .50 cents each)

2 packages of Kraft Singles Cheese ($3.79 each, BOGOF sale, $1 coupon)
PAID: $2.79 for 2

2 Kraft Mayoniosie Tubs ($4.99 regular price, BOGOF sale, $1 coupon)
PAID: $3.99 for 2

Kraft French Salad Dressing ($3.40 regular price, $1.67 sale price, $1 off coupon)
PAID: .67 cents

Price Chopper on May 19, 2009

Price Chopper is another local grocery store. They have stores throughout the Northeast. I also believe there are some stores in the Midwest, but they tend to run different sales.

I printed coupons from Coupons.com and KraftFoods.com for $1 off Kraft Bagelfuls, $1 off 2 Philly Cream Cheese Bricks, $1 off Wheat Thins, and $1 off 100 Calorie Snack Packs. All items were on sale at Price Chopper.

What I Bought:

1 box of 100 Calorie Snack Packs ($3.19 regular price, $2 sale price, $1 off coupon)
PAID: $1

2 Packages of Kraft Bagelfuls ($2.89 each regular price, $1.99 each sale price, 2 $1 coupons)
PAID: .99 cents each (or $1.98 for 2)

2 Philly Cream Cheese Brinks ($2.29 each regular price, $.99 cents each sale price, $1 coupon)
PAID: .98 cents for 2

Not counting the sale prices, I saved $13.69 cents by using coupons today! Not too bad considering my total for the day at all stores was only $25.72.
