Box Tops for Education: Are You Saving Your Labels?

I know I have said this before and I will probably say it again, but there is a program known as Box Tops for Education. On certain products, you will find labels / coupons that say “Box Tops for Education.”

Although they may mean nothing to do as an individual, they mean a lot to your local elementary school. Most elementary schools in the United States participate in the Box Tops for Education program. Each label is worth .10 cents to them. This may not seem like a lot, but if every parent or community member gives their local school these labels, they can turn into a lot of money. This year, my local school raised over $2,000. They actually get that money and can use it to make school related purchases, like computers, books, art supplies, and more.

Since my daughter is in prek at our local elementary school, I just bring in a few Box Tops at a time and drop them off at the school. If you aren’t a parent, but want to help your local elementary school, call the school. You can arrange a time to drop off your labels, they will greatly appreciate it.

Aside from helping my local elementary school, what I like next best about the Box Tops for Education program is the wide range of products these coupons are found on. They are all products we use. These just a few of the items we buy with Box Tops labels:

Juicy Juice
Hamburger and Tuna Helper
Betty Crocker Suddenly Salad
Betty Crocker Cookie Mix
Betty Crocker Frosting
Hershey’s Brownie Mix
Most General Mills Cereals
Select Hefty Trash Bags
Select Ziploc Bags
